You'll be talking to customers who expect amazing service from first direct.

Discussing lots of different banking products and services over the phone is an exciting challenge. Everyday requests and queries can include paying bills, transferring money, discussing credit cards or buying foreign currency. But it'll be your friendly customer service and listening skills that will help build a great rapport and through appropriate selling establish their needs for other first direct products.

It can be quite busy at times, so you'll work closely with a team and have lots of support (and fun) throughout the day. And because first direct is so innovative, you can expect lots of positive change and exciting initiatives too.

You'll also find out quickly that first direct is all about progression and individual choice.

Yes you'll have targets to work to - all customer facing roles have them, but some more than others.

When you join us, your role will be a mix of sales and service. We encourage everyone to progress at their own pace and you can develop from here into an advanced lending or mortgages sales role or both, with higher targets and higher earnings potential.

To join us, you don't need banking experience. Just a desire to deliver amazing service, a clear, friendly telephone manner and basic PC ability. However if you do have solid call centre, banking or sales experience, we will ensure your starting salary reflects this.
