We love individuality at first direct. In our services, our people, our products and our approach. You know that by now. What you might not realise, is that it spreads through to our learning and development too. So however you like to learn, and however quickly you pick things up, we'll try our best to work around you. And help you reach your highest potential.

Everyone who joins us will attend an induction programme aimed at developing a whole range of skills. In keeping with our character, it'll be professional yet fun - so it's a great introduction to first direct.

Your training will be a blend of classroom and e-learning. You'll soon see there's no pressure and plenty of extra support if you need it. We want you to be completely comfortable before you start taking calls. Equally, fly through it and you won't be held back.

To complement this training, you'll have the opportunity to spend time with your team in the live role - which we call the 'rookie' period. It'll help you transfer the knowledge and skills you've picked up into the live environment - making for a smooth and stress-free transition.
